Hwaseong Site Expansion to Double Production Capacity

- Production Facility Expansion by February 2025

- Doubling production capacity in 2 years and 10 months since completion in 2020

Vieworks, a global imaging solutions provider, will double its current production capacity with a new production facility at its Hwaseong site.

Vieworks announced on February 12 that it has decided to double the size of its production facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do by investing KRW 23.5 billion by February 2025. The scale of the expansion will increase the production facility by 6,319㎡ from the existing area (8,333㎡ gross floor area), and the total gross floor area will increase by 2.1 times to 17,330㎡.

The expansion comes about two years and 10 months after the completion of the Hwaseong site in Jeongnam General Industrial Complex in 2020. Upon completion of the expansion, the company's annual production capacity for medical imaging solutions (x-ray detectors, in-vivo imaging equipment) and industrial cameras will be more than doubled.

With this expansion, Vieworks will increase production capacity for its flagship products and respond to the growing demand for dynamic detectors and industrial detectors, which have seen significant sales growth over the past five years. The company will also provide additional space for mass production of new products, such as slide scanners and proton detectors, which it is accelerating development of.

"Following the establishment of our Hwaseong plant, which was the largest investment since our founding, we are preparing for a new leap forward through the expansion of our production facilities," said Vieworks representative. "We will continue to strengthen our technological competitiveness and achieve quantitative growth to proactively respond to rapidly changing market needs."
